Entertainment at Camping & Marina de Meeuw

During Easter, the May holidays, Ascension Day, Pentecost, and the summer holidays (from July 11 to August 30), the entertainment staff, together with holiday friends Vliet and Vloot, ensure plenty of fun for young and old alike.

The day often starts with a cheerful dance. Children express their creativity in activities such as the Vliet & Vloot Club and participate in fun craft activities and games every day. The mini disco with Vliet and Vloot is also a regular feature on the program.

During the summer holidays, the entertainment program expands with additional events, such as a family sports camp or a spectacular birds of prey show. Children can also enjoy themselves in the playground with a cable car or on the beaches at Brielse Meer.

Meet Vliet & Vloot

Two special characters live at Camping & Marina de Meeuw: Vliet and Vloot. Vliet is an adventurous young woman, always ready for new discoveries on the water. She loves fresh seafood, especially grilled shrimp with a hint of lemon. The taste of the sea brings her great joy, and she enjoys the abundant treasures the ocean has to offer.

vloot, on the other hand, is a jolly young man who loves crayfish. He enjoys catching them with his quick maneuvers and then grilling them over a crisp campfire on Lake Briel. The taste of the sweet crayfish fills his heart with warmth and happiness.

Vliet was raised by an experienced sailor named Captain Briel. Captain Briel was a wise old sailor who taught Vliet all about navigation, wind patterns and the art of sailing. He was a mentor and a friend to Vliet, and his lessons formed the basis of her love of the sea.

vloot was raised by a group of friendly fishermen who lived along the river. These fishermen were his godparents and taught him the secrets of the river. They shared their wisdom about currents, fishing behavior and how to find your way through the winding waterways.

The adventurous origins of Vliet and Vloot

One day, while Vliet was taking a boat ride along islands and beautiful waters, she discovered hidden caves and ancient shipwrecks. Suddenly, she heard a voice calling for help. It was vloot, who had run into trouble with his boat. Of course Vliet came to his aid and soon they became the best of friends on the water.

During their adventures, they discovered a magical landing net that led them to a mysterious underwater world. There they met mermaids, talking fish and had exciting adventures. But life on the water was not always calm. One day they ran into an unexpected storm. The waves pounded high and the wind raged like an angry giant. Vliet was scared, but together they helped each other weather the storm.

After the storm, they realized they were not only water friends, but true allies who supported each other through thick and thin. Their friendship grew stronger with each wave they braved together. The days passed and the seasons changed, but Vliet and Vloot remained inseparable. They discovered hidden caves, played with dolphins and watched the stars reflected in the shimmering water.
