This special December newsletter has been painstakingly put together for you with inspiration and fun facts appropriate for this period of warmth.

We wish you much reading pleasure, a wonderful Christmas and a sparkling New Year!

In this newsletter you will read about, among other things: ✔︎ New faces and farewell ✔︎ Vacantievreugd expands: from 4 to 5 parks! ✔︎ End of year party ✔︎ Free oliebollen ✔︎ Connecting gas and internet

New faces at the campsite

We are pleased to welcome three new faces to Camping the Seagull!

  • Gert-Jan is our new administrator. Do you have any questions? Don't hesitate to speak to him or make an appointment through the reception desk.
  • Natasja, Gert-Jan's wife, joins our team at the reception desk.
  • Albert is our new groundsman, whom I'm sure you'll meet regularly.

We wish them lots of fun and success at Camping the Seagull!

Farewell to colleagues

Unfortunately, we say goodbye to three valued colleagues:

  • Rick has already left.
  • Maarten will continue to support us until the connections are completed, at which time he will leave for Flevo Natuur.
  • Franisha will have her last day of work on Sunday, Dec. 29.

Vacantievreugd expands: from 4 to 5 parks!

We have more great news! On November 1, we acquired a new park: Camping de Koeksebelt in Ommen. This means the expansion of our offer from 4 to no less than 5 parks. We are very excited about this new addition and look forward to offering our guests a fantastic vacation experience here as well.

To celebrate this expansion, the entire Vacation Youth team celebrated this year's Christmas party at Camping de Koeksebelt. It was a special opportunity to get acquainted with the new park and enjoy the fun with the team. We cannot wait to start this new chapter in our journey together with the whole team!

Reception in the winter months and FAFS training

This winter the reception desk will be staffed by Ella, Natasja and Margret. We are open daily from 09:00 to 13:00, and on Sundays from 11:00 to 14:00. Do you have questions or want to know something? The door is always open for you! Please note that the reception desk is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. On these days we can only be reached for emergencies at 06-20370590. This number is not for questions about the barrier, visitors, internet problems, etc. We are happy to help you on the other days!

Power outages are handled only from 09:00 to 22:00.

On Tuesday, February 11, the reception will be closed due to a BHV training for our staff. With this training we ensure that our team is well prepared for emergencies, so that your safety always comes first.
On this day we will be available by phone and email.
📞 Phone: 0181 - 412 777
Thank you for your understanding, as of Wednesday, February 12, we will be fully available for you again!

Final energy bill and advances

In December, you will receive the final energy bill (minus the four advances you have already paid in 2024). Also, the new advance for 2025 is already listed directly on the final bill (1/4 of the 2024 energy consumption). The remaining three advances will be billed in March, June and September 2025.

Visiting by car

People often ring the bell at the barrier to let visitors in, especially after the reception opens. In principle, this is only possible if the visit is registered in advance. How do you do that? During opening hours you can give us the license plate number of your visitor, either by e-mail or by phone. We will enter the license plate number so that your visitor can enter and leave the premises after closing time (for a fee). This makes it really easy for your guests!

Shutting off the water

A friendly reminder: remember to turn off the water in your chalet or mobile home when you leave. This prevents damage from frozen pipes and a lot of inconvenience. Here are a few handy tips:

  • Shut off the water in the well
  • Open the vents
  • Open all taps in the caravan
  • Disassemble the geyser and store it frost-free
  • Add salt to the chiffon and in the toilet bowl
  • Seal the gas cylinders properly

That way you make sure everything stays in order even when you're not around for a while!

Terrain Rules

The latest version of our grounds regulations is in the app. Of course, you can also pick up the regulations at the reception desk. We ask you to read them carefully so that you are aware of the applicable rules.

Tip jar

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to our tip jar. Thanks to you we were able to enjoy a nice and tasty meal at De Watertuin in Spijkenisse. It was a wonderful evening! Thank you for your generosity!

Fancy winter

On Friday, November 15, Poppy de Luxe events organized a cozy winter fair in cooperation with Eetcafé de Brielse Meeuw and Camping de Meeuw. The evening began with stalls full of Italian delicacies, wines, children's clothing, jewelry and much more! The catering square was also beautifully decorated and outside the BBQ was burning. It was an attractive and cozy evening, hereby we would like to thank everyone for organizing this fantastic event.

Sinterklaas party

On Sunday, November 30, Saint Nicholas visited Camping de Meeuw with his Pieten and the horse-drawn streetcar. The children were anxiously waiting at the barrier and at 2 p.m. the horse streetcar arrived with Saint Nicholas, his Pieten, and the horses Ozosnel and Caramba! After a warm welcome, the children walked behind the horse-drawn streetcar to the little bridge, where Saint and his Pieten got off and went to the eatery. The eatery was all in party mood and the big St. Nicholas party began! The Pieten sang and danced, and the children happily joined in. All the children also received a present from Saint Nicholas. What a party!
All the photos from this great event can be found in our app under "Entertainment + Events + Reading folder." There are many photos, so please take a look!

We hope everyone enjoys the festive season and we look forward to a fun end to the year!

Everyone will be connected to the gas and fiber optic network, even if you do not want to take internet from the campground. An appointment will be made to bring the connections inside. Make sure that our technical service can easily get under your chalet by opening the bottom, for example.
